This full-day workshop will help you to understand how to effectively use Google Adwords to promote your business online.  Taking a strategic approach to the promotion of YOUR website and getting the best benefit from your investment. Enabling you to take action in this proven form of paid promotion, driving targeted customers to your website and increasing conversion.

Note that this is not another workshop for the technologically inclined or initiated, this is about business, YOUR business and how to get the best return on your investment of resources.  Delivered in a straightforward way, using non-technical language, full of insights and real-world observations, practical techniques and actionable strategies.

These sessions aim to enlighten and empower the delegate to get the best from their website in a straightforward non-technical way. 

Covering a range of principles and techniques this workshop provides an overview of online paid promotion using Google Adwords, from the viewpoint of the business and its customers.

  • Writing successful adverts, headings and copy, using Microtext and Nanotext

  • Pricing strategies - How much should you pay, staying in control

  • Ensuring a smooth landing – why destination pages are crucial

  • Testing, testing, testing

  • Troubleshooting when things don’t work out as you expect

  • Analysing feedback – using the Google conversion tracking system

Prerequisites – what skills or experience should you already possess

It is not assumed that the delegates have any prior knowledge of website development or internet marketing, but will use the internet and email on a regular basis, and probably be involved in working with the company's or possibly clients’ email marketing campaigns now or in the future.  Delegates will benefit from having attended an introductory or overview course: ‘Internet Marketing How to get a website that works for your business’, or ‘Planning for the development of your new business website’.  However this is not essential.

Format – what type of course?

This course is delivered as a full day workshop (usually 9.30am to 4.30pm including breaks). There will be lots of opportunities to discuss, question and share experiences as well as some practical activities.

Location – where is the course held?

These sessions are delivered on a regular basis at our premises to small groups, (we limit the courses to 8 delegates at our premises so you have the advantage of learning in a small group), or they can be presented at any suitable venue convenient to you if you require a private session for your business or organisation.
